Yesterday At the Museum

Yesterday at the museum  we learned about the Maori Battalion.The Maori Battalion fought in WWII. Unfortunately 640 people died and never saw there family again. All of the young men joined on volunteer
 not knowing what was awaiting ahead. The canteen truck for the Maori Battalion was called Te Rua Aroha.

237 Maori Battalions were captured by enemy forces.
